Astley Hire

Astley Hire is a family run business that was built from a tool division over fifty years ago. It serves the North West region. The company provides industrial equipment hire including powered access, scaffolding, cleaning, cooling, heating, and maintenance tools. Astley Hire is the only independent hire company with the HACCP accreditation. It has been verified by NQA as a Carbon Neutral Business under the PAS 2060 framework. Astley Hire offers various accredited training courses.

Astley Hire delivers equipment hire and accredited training to construction and industrial customers around Leigh, and the training side dominates accounts of the business. IPAF and MEWP courses are described as knowledgeable, friendly and calmly run, with instructors credited for helping candidates pass; Pam and Lorraine are named for their support, and Dave is singled out for making a session enjoyable. The hire operation, covering construction and industrial equipment, draws praise for availability and for the practical advice given when customers make contact.

Efficiency from booking through to completion is a point that comes up often, one electrical contractor citing fifteen years of repeat use across industries, while another notes the clean, professional venue and modern machinery. Scissor and boom platform training, including the 3a and 3b categories, features in several accounts alongside an inline MEWP course for managers. More than one review highlights how approachable staff are in person and over the phone, and how queries are dealt with without fuss. Repeat business and steady demand for both the training centre and the industrial hire side show how the provider is regarded by engineers, contractors and managers alike.
