Local Scaffold Services LTD

Local Scaffold Services Ltd is a privately owned scaffolding company based in Sheffield. The company has over 25 years of experience providing scaffolding. It operates out of two strategically placed depots in South Yorkshire. It has a large directly employed team of scaffolders who are CITB trained and qualified. The company is CHAS certified and Safecontractor Approved.

It works with local authorities including Leeds Council, commercial clients such as Sainsbury’s and William Cook, and local building contractors such as DWS Woodwork Specialists, Pro-Property Plus, and Signature Roofing. It offers an all-round scaffolding service including planning, design, erection, site attendance, and dismantling. It provides residential, commercial, emergency, and heritage scaffolding for listed buildings such as churches and historical sites. The company serves Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Leeds, Chesterfield, Rotherham, and Wakefield.

Scaffolding supply and erection for residential renovation work is what this Sheffield firm is repeatedly praised for, with customers describing projects ranging from five-storey properties to dormer roofs and solar panel installation where ladders alone would not have been safe. Paul, named in review after review, is credited with responding promptly to enquiries sent with photographs, providing clear quotes and exact dates for both erection and dismantling, and adapting the structure when other trades needed altered access.

Several reviewers describe complex builds over projecting bays completed without damage to roof tiles, and safe working platforms left for subsequent repairs. Punctuality recurs as a theme, with scaffolders arriving when promised and working steadily through each day. Tidiness and respect for property come up often, both at the point of installation and when the equipment is taken away.

Customers also value the advice offered on how to approach their own repairs, and the willingness to lower or move a scaffold once the work changes. Coordination matters too: one client notes that knowing the build and removal times in advance let them keep their own builders informed. The team is consistently described as friendly, knowledgeable and easy to deal with throughout the hire.
