Nationwide Platforms

Nationwide Platforms is part of the Loxam Group, which has focused exclusively on equipment rental to professionals for more than 50 years. The company operates a fleet of over 12,000 machines from depots across the UK and is certified as a 'Great Place to Work'. It serves the infrastructure, construction, facilities management, nuclear, telecoms, TV, film, media & events, aviation, and wind sectors. Its services include Harness ON™ for safe working at height and my.NationwidePlatforms, a suite of online tools for account management and monitoring.

Equipment available for hire includes boom lifts with working heights from 10m to 58.5m and outreach up to 24m; scissor lifts with access up to 33.5m; low level access platforms with access up to 8m and safe working loads up to 250kg; tracked booms with working heights up to 31m; truck mounts with flexible access from 13.3m to 90m, with self-drive and operated hire options; van mounts with working heights between 12m and 16.5m, available as self-drive or operated; and telehandlers for lifting up to 17.5m with lifting capacity up to 4,000kg.

Construction equipment and machinery supply sits alongside training at this Cardiff branch, with the Llandough Trading Estate site hosting both. The two customer accounts concern the training side of the business, where an IPAF 1B course is named. That attendee describes the session as thoroughly enjoyable, highlighting the content covered and the facilities provided.

The same account presents the instruction as well delivered and the surroundings as suited to the course, which points to the training centre and provider roles listed for the business. Alongside this, the branch operates as a supplier of construction and industrial equipment and a rental service for construction machines, so customers encounter a business serving both those needing plant and those seeking certification through its training provision.
