Summit Platforms

Summit Platforms is part of the Summit Rentals Group and was founded in 2014. It is a national provider of powered access and telescopic handler hire, machine sales, contract hire and associated training. The company operates IPAF Approved Training Centres across the UK. IPAF training can be delivered at Summit Platforms' training centres, the job site itself, or at the customer's location.

Summit Platforms offers free advice and site surveys. It has depots in Glasgow, Newcastle, Wakefield, Haydock, Birmingham, East Midlands, Bristol, Portsmouth, London West and London East. Summit Platforms has been investing in low and zero emission powered access machines.

Summit Platforms is listed within the access sector as a training centre, and the two recorded accounts concern machine hire rather than instruction. One customer presents the business as the place to go when a cherry picker or scissor lift is needed, while the other notes the effort made to go beyond what was originally requested on a machine hire.

Operating from Unit 29 on the Parkrose Industrial Estate in Smethwick, the company arranges hire during weekday hours, and the feedback concentrates on the lifting equipment supplied, with a recurring note that the team tries to exceed the brief on machine hire.
