Priority Scaffolding

Priority Scaffolding is a family-run business with two generations involved in its day-to-day running. Established over 25 years ago, the company has 25 years of scaffolding experience. It holds CHAS and SafeContractor accreditation through SSIP and £5 million public liability cover. Its scaffolders are CISRS trained, and staff are fully CITB trained with qualifications including COTS, CSCS, CISRS, PART 1 PART 2, advanced scaffolders and SSMTS. The company follows TG20:21 guidelines and SG4:22 regulations, and an independent health and safety inspector carries out random spot checks daily.

It can design and carry out scaffold calculations on any project of any size and provide RAMS on request. Priority Scaffolding works mainly in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Hertfordshire, and for certain jobs sends teams further afield. Client work ranges from supporting building repair work at clients' homes to large scale work for councils and developers, and the company has secured preferred status with several blue-chip building companies. Services include domestic, commercial, RAMS, and drawing and calculations.

Domestic roof repairs, solar panel installations and substantial contracts at a racecourse grandstand in Newmarket all feature among the work this Cambridge firm has carried out, and the accounts that recur centre on dependable organisation and considerate conduct. Reviews time and again mention crews that turn up as promised, put up and take down structures swiftly and safely, and keep disturbance low even where gardens and planted borders need shielding.

Andrew and Andy are named on several occasions, with praise for their courtesy, the pace of their response when a job is urgent, and their readiness to reschedule dismantling when a client's own building work ran late. Handling of permits and paperwork is singled out as straightforward, while internal and external scaffolding for roof access, edge protection and tower erection all appear in the feedback.

The teams are portrayed as polite, diligent and straightforward to have on site, working quietly and adapting around other trades, thatchers among them. Commercial customers record consistent professionalism from the first conversation through to completion, and the impression is of a business that answers enquiries, sticks to agreed timings and leaves premises clear, with homeowners and contractors alike saying they would call on it again for comparable access work.
