Mead Plant Hire

Mead Plant & Grab is a family business with 35 years of industry experience. It supplies and delivers site plant to trade and domestic clients across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. The company has hundreds of machines available for hire, including premium brand machines. Equipment offered for hire includes excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, avants and small tools.

Supplying grab away, muck away, aggregates and general building materials to builders and contractors around Cambridgeshire, Mead Plant Hire comes across in feedback as a business used repeatedly rather than for one-off jobs. Deliveries arriving when promised is a point raised again and again, alongside machines kept in sound condition and materials of dependable quality. Charges for plant and supplies are routinely described as fair, and the team is said to be easy to deal with, efficient and quick to respond whenever fresh requirements come up, including those raised with little warning.

Several customers highlight the family-run nature of the firm, saying it keeps dealings straightforward, while staff knowledge of construction is credited with helping clients secure the right equipment and materials. Phil is named for being accommodating where plant is concerned, and Suzy for being consistently helpful. Long-standing clients write of hiring across multiple sites and over years, reporting steady service from first enquiry to delivery. Meeting requests wherever possible, especially against tight timescales, recurs as a common observation, and repeat custom has become normal on those projects. Supplying building materials alongside hire work is also noted as keeping schemes moving.
