Smart Platform Rental Limited

Smart Platform Rental Limited operates a depot in Sheffield, one of its locations alongside North London, East London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Southampton. The Sheffield depot offers self-drive truck-mounted access platforms ranging from 11m to 27m and serves Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Rotherham, Barnsley and Chesterfield.

All machines at the Sheffield depot are under 3.5 tonnes and drivable on a standard licence. The company offers full engineer handovers on every hire. It provides IPAF, PASMA, ladder and on-site training. It also sells 3.5T trucks, 7.5T and HGV trucks, and PPE.

Easy, efficient hire is the note that sounds through nearly every account of this Sheffield powered access specialist. The booking process is repeatedly described as straightforward and swift, with machines ready when promised, and flexibility shown whenever plans shift. Staff are called helpful and knowledgeable, and Gavin Davis is singled out more than once for arranging self-drive cherry pickers and newer platforms at competitive rates. Reviewers note that the equipment is simple to operate even for novices and capable on awkward tasks such as dismantling a large ash dieback tree in a tight spot.

Operatives who accompany the platforms are described as professional, safe and thorough. A recurring point is the balance between fair pricing and dependable machinery, with self-drive options valued as an affordable alternative to hiring a machine with an operator. Clear communication before and after each job, along with a quick turnaround, also features regularly, and customers say they intend to return for future projects. The sight of a platform installing flags in Walkley is remembered with particular warmth.
