Tyne & Wear Access ne ltd

Tyne & Wear Access is a family-run business operating as Tyne & Wear Access NE LTD. It runs an IPAF Approved Training Centre, delivering IPAF, PASMA, harness and working at height training from a purpose-built training centre, with options for in-house or on-site delivery. Training operates seven days a week and all courses include lunch and refreshments. The company offers machine hire including MEWPs, AWPs and telehandlers on daily, weekly or long-term agreements, with free operator training available on long-term hires.

It provides truck-mounted access platforms with working heights from 12 to 46 metres, and a fleet of Hinowa tracked spider lifts from 12 to 26 metres. Tracked access equipment is available for self-hire or operated hire and is commonly used in churches, sports halls and tight access environments. Harness sales include free inspections for the full lifespan of the harness. It serves clients across various sectors.

Contractors, homeowners and businesses across Tyneside turn to this Hebburn-based access specialist for powered platforms and formal training, and the feedback collected over several years points to a consistent experience. Customers describe a family-run operation where the service is attentive and the equipment is kept to a high standard, with platforms that arrive looking new and well maintained. Deliveries are repeatedly noted as punctual and handled by competent staff, while collection is equally straightforward, whether the hire runs for a day or a fortnight.

Beyond hire, the training side draws praise from companies sending staff for IPAF and MEWP courses, which are described as enjoyable, informative and held in suitable facilities. Reviewers frequently name Kevin, crediting him with going beyond what was asked and completing jobs efficiently. Fair pricing comes up as a point that recurs, alongside the helpfulness of the wider team and the breadth of machinery available, from spider lifts to cherry pickers and telehandlers, suited to farm projects, electrical work and general access needs. The newest fleet seen in the region is how one customer puts it, while another simply books again whenever a machine is required.
