Nationwide Platforms

Nationwide Platforms Ltd is part of the Loxam Group, which has focused exclusively on equipment rental to professionals for more than 50 years. The company operates depots across the UK and has over 12,000 machines in its fleet. It serves the construction, infrastructure, facilities management, nuclear, telecoms, TV, film, media & events, aviation, and wind sectors.

Its hire fleet includes boom lifts, scissor lifts, low level access, tracked booms, truck mounts, van mounts, and telehandlers. Nationwide Platforms provides training and is certified as a 'Great Place to Work'. It offers Harness ON™ and my.NationwidePlatforms, a suite of online tools to manage and monitor accounts.

Tradespeople and employers seeking powered access instruction feature prominently among those who have dealt with this Leeds operation, with many accounts centring on the training side of the business. Several reviewers describe IPAF courses as well organised and engaging, and the safety and training areas come in for particular praise. Marcus and Chris are named individually as instructors whose delivery was friendly, professional and clear, while Andy in maintenance is singled out as an asset to the company following a boom lift hire. The rental side also receives attention, with a 13.5 metre boom lift truck described as a straightforward experience.

An aspect raised across a number of reviews is the helpfulness of the wider workshop staff, including those who kept things running smoothly around shared facilities. Courses covering harness inspection and MEWP use are mentioned alongside general IPAF certification, and the practical instruction is repeatedly called professional and well managed. Customers highlight both the training centre and the equipment supply offered from the Hunslet premises, and the recurring theme across the feedback is a dependable service whether the job involves certification or machine hire.
